BUILDING AN IGLOO AT SCHOOL BY MITCH FRITZ

St. John’s University student, Mitch Fritz, took advantage of the snowstorm on the East Coast this past winter by transforming 500 blocks of ice into a rainbow colored igloo in front of his college campus. Fritz got the idea from his mother who saw a version it on Pinterest.

Fritz used banana bread tins filled with water and food coloring and allowed them to freeze overnight.

Armed with his imagination, Fritz “winged it” and started building the igloo that took 15 hours to complete.

Adorned with lights inside, the igloo appeared to glow in the dark.
