More from the Oregon travels of PEZ and Joshua Blank as they take “You Can’t Win” to FIFTY24PDX Gallery. First, here is a local arts curator in Salem, Oregon.
Thrift sale.
Santorum Bike shop in Salem. These guys gave us directions on how to get to Portland from Salem and helped us tune up our bikes.
More people and things in Salem.
In route to Dayton, this was actually a hard part of the trip because there was no shoulder for us to ride on; it was very windy and there where massive trucks going very fast. We ended up walking 8 miles on 224 and camped out behind a tree in a bat, bug, ant and spider-ridden spot. We awoke at five in the morning, while the road was empty and sprinted to Dayton.
Dayton is a very small town and we arrived there around seven in the morning. I had the worst coffee ever, but found a nice little diner/café with Wi-Fi to write this entry.
Youngsters setting up an early morning estate sale.
Cool car.
The other cool thing about the café was that you could write your name on the wall….
