The last ever show at Deitch Projects (as Jeffrey Deitch takes over new director of the Museum of Contemporary Art) was the celebrated the book launch of Beyond The Street, featuring the 100 leading figures of Urban Art. A truly impressive list of contributors flew from all over the world to attend in person.

Taschen Books is publishing Kate Moss by Mario Testino book, in limited quantities, that should be out really soon. Only 1500 copies will be made, and we have a slight guess of a few people who will be in line for it. And, no, don’t be an ass, we are not included in that list.

pssss. i’m gonna do a signing for this book in the bay at SFMOMA on july 8th, san diego comicon, and various GIANT ROBOT stores, stay tuned for exact dates and other spots….
pssss. when you hold something white like a piece of paper or envelope up to the spine. the book fucking glows! because i used two of the most obnoxious and favorite colors for the spine, fools gold and radioactive orange!

for those of you who enjoyed my show “NOTHING TO DECLARE” in los angeles , and wanted to get some prints, of the watercolors and larger paintings, coming very very soon, i will announce 2 different print portfolio sets, GOLD and SILVER, they both come with a custom made silk screened portfolio case, with 3 different 18 by 24 inches, prints from the show all signed by me, and an original spraypaint drawing on the inside flap of the case, they’ll be 38 editions made of each set, and will retail for $888 dollars each, get one or get them both, these will be available on the TRAPEZE EDITIONS site , over here. but not quite yet, so be ready and be patient.
(btw for those who missed the zine signing on the closing day of the show, we left a handful at the LAZ shop inside the gallery, so you can get it there, when the gallery re-opens with EUROTRASH)

The LA book launch for a book I’m honored to be part of entitled, “Hunt and Gather: Discovering New Art” by Tina Ziegler is coming up this Saturday, April 10th from 6pm – 8pm presented at Thinkspace Gallery in their new location at 6009 Washington Blvd, Culver City, CA 90232.
I’ll be attending and doing the book signing alongside other participating artists such as Nathan Ota, Joshua Petker, Nate Frizzell, Yoksay Yamamoto, Scott Belcastro, Elizabeth Mcgrath, Dave Pressler, Edwin Ushiro, Brandi Miline, and many more.

ずっと進めてきた諸々が形になってきました。新しく始める`Shinganist`と銘打ったラベルの元に、ブックのリリースとグループショウをいくつか開催します。参加してくれているアーティストは、野坂 稔和、文字図形、べん、金子 潤、それと自分(薄黒)をいれて５人です。すこし乱暴ですが簡単にまとめると、作品において、どこかで学んだ形式ばったものでは無く、経験や体験から磨かれた日本の新しい美意識みたいなものが感じられるというのがテーマのひとつです。ショウは今のところサンフランシスコ、ロンドンの二カ所です。今のところ日本での予定はありませんが、ブックは日本でも勿論、発売します。ウェブサイトとブログをアップしたのでチェックしてください。プレスリリースは英語のみですが、近い内に日本語版もどこかにアップします。また詳細が決まり次第、製作にまつわる諸々なども含め、この場でもお知らせいたします。（薄黒）
