We just dropped this mighty fine Morning Breath tee in our webstore this past week, and we always love it when the Brooklyn duo drops a new design for us. If you don’t remember, Morning Breath created a series of “newly imagined” sports logos for us back in the day in the series UPLB (this logo was a gem). “No Toque” is available here.
Go Shop @ Hickoree’s in Brooklyn
November 7th, 2011
First off, crossing over Bedford Avenue in Brooklyn around noon on a NYC Marathon day takes a lot of skill. We had to time ourselves just perfectly to get across and not disrupt the runners’ day. But when we did get across, we found a great store, Hickoree’s Hard Goods, that has some of the best curated men’s clothing and accessories around. Left Field NYC, Velva Sheen, Universal Works, Sierra Designs, Columbiaknit, Thorogood, etc, just a really nice look. And they had these great “H” branded caps made in the USA by a new company, Fair Ends (we purchased one). We suggest a stop-by. Buy somethings. Some pictures of Hickoree’s and the marathon crossing.

Swampy in Brooklyn
November 7th, 2011
Just a little something we passed by near the Williamsburg Bridge this weekend. We don’t mind seeing a Swampy piece on the East Coast, and even though we had seen this one a few times it seems on Flickr or around the Internet, this is just a nice clean, untouched piece on a side-street in the middle of Williamsburg. With the NYC Marathon going off a few blocks away, we got pushed down by the water, and caught it…

Older Swampy piece in Brooklyn
November 6th, 2011We had seen this Swampy piece on Flickr before, but we checked it out in person today near the Williamsburg Bridge. Swampy showed his “In My Room” installation/exhibition at our FIFTY24SF Gallery earlier this past summer that created quite a buzz in the neighborhood… you may remember.

Here is What Brooklyn Was Like In The Summer of 1974
August 30th, 2011

It’s always nice to find photographs from the past, sometimes they spark curiosity, some times they make you wish you had a legit time machine. David Lyon crafted a collection of photographs properly named “Here Is What Brooklyn Was Like In The Summer of 1974.” So put aside 5 minutes, or an hour, and take a look at what Brooklyn was like in the summer of 1974.
