As I’m getting everything ready for my upcoming solo exhibition, I was fortunate enough get a special visit from Lily at Sketch Theatre who took video footage of the creation of my newest drawing which will be added to the Inside the Outside collection to be revealed at Joshua Liner Gallery in New York on June 5th. Check it out here.
Yesterday I had the opportunity to catch up with my two great friends Jason and Josh (Deph) from “To Die For” as they worked the IMSCARD/To Die For booth at World of Dance convention in Pomona. These are two of the hardest working guys I know and I have been more than stoked to be working with them on my IMSCARED line and store. I have a lot of respect for their work ethic and just needed to give some credit where credit is due.
So we added a HUGE landmark to the “To Die For” Flagship store in Costa Mesa, Ca. a couple of weeks ago… Montana GOLD flowed us several boxes of paint to collaborate on a mural with artists Deph of To Die For, and Maxx242 of Famous Stars and Straps and The Wild Ones. Montana is one of today’s premier paint leaders that sets the standards for the art movement of graffiti. Click on the images below to view the mural. Here are some of my favorite picks from the current “To Die For” line up as well:

Here’s a couple pages that I contributed to this amazing collection:

Come celebrate the South Bays Punk Rock History tomorrow at the closing party for “Punk Art”. I have a ton of old flyers and some album covers and posters (and one somewhat controversial drawing) on display. This scene is in part how I got my kick in the pants to make art as a living, starting with show fliers and band merch for my friends bands. The opening went off and I expect the same for the close, so stop by the Hermosa beach historical museum and be a part of South Bay history.
peace.

"Just a reminder, this Saturday will be the exhibition closing of thePunk Art exhibit at the Hermosa Museum.A 40 Year Retrospect of South Bay concert posters, show flyers, albumcovers and gig photos. This is a very personal project of mine that was 18 months in the making. If you haven't seen the exhibit yet I strongly suggest that you come by.To make attendance easier we have extended museum hours from 12noon-9pm.Beer and wine will be provided from 6-9pm and limited merch will be on sale. All proceeds go to the museum.Remember that this is an ALL AGES event!" -Jani Lange
My good friends Dabs and Myla are back in there home town making big moves. They are having their exhibition “Hollywood and Western” this Thursday April 1st and I am stoked to have been able to work on a couple collaborations with them for it, along with Kmndz, Rime, and The Witness. If you are in Melbourne Australia and are reading this, don’t miss this show.

They will also be celebrating the launch of their new book “Super Smooth” on April 7th. so stop by and tell them Craola says hi.

Keep killing it Dabo and Em!
peace.
