July 12th, 2011
The Dirty Hands DVD is now available for the first time ever exclusively at Upper Playground. Officially releasing on July 18th, we have a pre-sale of the 2-Disc DVD available early to you where 121 of the pre-sale orders will receive a Munko Vinyl Toy. Dirty Hands is also streaming for free at Upper Playground, check it out here.
Dirty Hands chronicles the life and career of David Choe from 2000 to 2007 as documented by his close friend and director, Harry Kim. The documentary reveals the highs and lows involved in the upwards trajectory of David’s career using the same “no holds barred” style that makes his artwork so unique and sought-after. Dirty Hands encore showings in San Francisco
May 28th, 2010The Upper Playground presentation of Dirty Hands was supposed to stop running at the Roxie Theater last night. That was supposed to be it. Kaput. But due to the overwhelming demand, the Roxie Theater is extending it to have two encore showing tonight (Friday) and tomorrow (Saturday) at 11:30PM each night. So cut out of the bar early, grab a brown paper bag and get over to the Roxie Theater for the real party.
And as a little encore ourselves, here’s an interview that Harry Kim (the director) tried to get with Heidi Fleiss that was cut from the movie for very obvious reasons.
