This is going to be a great World Cup Final. Spain vs Netherlands. Iberian Pennisula vs Low Country. Europe vs. er, Europe. We were early on the Netherlands’ bandwagon, and we are still leaning Orange. Only because of the uniforms, there secret owning of the world, and the city of Utrecht, because Jeff went to school there.

Aaliyah was, plain and simple, an underground, progressive talent in the mainstream world. Timbaland and Missy Elliot took all their amazing beats and gave them to a teenage star, and Aaliyah made the hooks legendary. Yesterday, we were listening to an old mix, and this track, “Are You That Somebody?” from 1998, produced by Timbaland, came on, and it reminded us of being 17, and that is sort of fun.

We have never been faucet shopping, but if we were to go, the new Grohe Ondus Digitecture faucet, a Red Dot Product Design winner. The future makes things look all neat-o. By the way, when Kubrick was making movies, or any other filmmaker who like to emphasize future, politics, and design, this was the faucet they envisioned. We would buy this, even if it costs us $3,000.

This is the happiest man on the planet. Amare Stoudemire. He just signed a 5-year, $100m contract with the New York Knickerbockers, gets to be a centerpiece in NYC, a city born on basketball, and he gets to get his ass out of Phoenix. Seriously, the happiest man on god’s green earth. And he is going to get a badass teammate so time this week, be it King James or someone else. We may be Knicks fans if that happens.
