Seriously, did that sign go up for auction at the “raising money for the dead” Lehman Brothers at the London Christie’s this past week. Oh, wait, it did.
The Times says, “The auction’s signature winning bid may have been the £42,050 ($66,500) by an anonymous telephone buyer for a true sign of the times: the large metal nameplate that formerly hung at the London headquarters of Lehman Brothers, the investment bank whose collapse helped ignite the global financial crisis.”
The auction raised $2.53 million on art and memorabilia from the fallen financial giant. Read more about here.
