We lost another legend in the art world, as Surrealist painter and wife to Max Ernst, Dorothea Tanning, passed away at the age of 101. Her paintings, Birthday (1942, Philadelphia Museum of Art) and, Eine kleine Nachtmusik(1943, Tate Modern, London) are some of the most famed by a female artist in the 20th century.

Till Rabus just opened Forms of Everyday at Lazarides Gallery, London, this past weekend, with a grouping of realist paintings with a touch of surreal and philosophical material. The Swiss artist has the work up through February 23, 2012.

Thom Yorke, the model, wearing lots of good clothing by Undecover, in a photoshoot in Hyde Park, London for Huge Magazine. The grizzled veteran looks quite regal in fine Japanese clothing. Almost Samuel Beckett-esque. Waiting for Godot. Or Jonny. Or a Grammy-award. Or Four Tet to remix something.

This should be good. Jonathan Yeo, who made major waves a few years ago with the porn collages that were portraits of famous politicians, has a new solo opening this Friday, December 9, at Lazarides Gallery. For this show, “Making a departure from his internationally renowned collages, Yeo’s latest body of work explores the rapidly expanding phenomenon of cosmetic surgery.”
