Sometimes, you think a celebrity is a douche, but then you realize they take that money and buy good art with it, and you have to say to yourself, “You are less douchey, Mr Pitt.”
Brad Pitt likes his Jean Nouvel, and according to this cool slideshow on the Daily Beast, Spielberg likes his Norman Rockwells, Gwyneth Paltrow likes Darren Almond, Steve Martin digs Picasso, Kate Moss loves the Banksy, Jay-Z likes Richard Prince, and Jack Nicholson is on to Jack Vettriano.
It’s a win-win. The not-so-popular-right-now Lehman Brothers is auctioning off 447 pieces of art, including works by Richard Prince, Robert Rauschenberg, Damien Hirst, Andy Warhol, and Takashi Murakami to help pay their debts. Art and debt collectors, rejoice.
