Summer in San Francisco means fog, mist, clouds and 55 degree days – so we’re releasing a line of zip-up hoodies to help combat the elements. The Sophomore, World Series, and Outline UP Hoodies are all designed with a slightly throw-back style and features embroidered designs on medium weight fleece, making all three hoodies the perfect over-layer of style and function for a brisk summer day. The hoodies are available at all Upper Playground retail locations and online at the Upper Playground Web Store.

Inevitable: American Apparel’s Bankruptcy
August 7th, 2010
Posted from The Citrus Report
Unfortunately for those of us who may enjoy the American Apparel ads or a plain black tee shirt or the summer shirt, it looks like it is inevitable that AA will be going out of business. In fact, “American Apparel, as it turns out, has experienced declining year-on-year same-store sales in every month for which the company has made records available since February, 2009.”
Also, “Meanwhile, the company is struggling to manage the mountain of debt it took on during the boom years, when it signed dozens of leases at the height of the real-estate bubble and more than occasionally hired 17-year-old high school drop-outs Charney took a shine to to “manage” the new stores.”

“Inception” is worth a few hours of your life
July 18th, 2010
Posted from The Citrus Report
Look, Inception is not going to change your life, but it is the best blockbuster film to come out this summer, and its proves that Christopher Nolan can make an original, fun script that isn’t a fucking retread or rebrand like every other movie that comes out in the summertime. The Citrus Report went and saw the movie, and we give it TWO THUMBS UP, based solely on the fun factor. And if someone wants to get all deep with you after seeing it, don’t trust them. It isn’t that hard to figure out what is going on in the film. It ain’t that philosophical or mindblowing, just a good script, good story, a different story, so don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Just enjoy it.

San enjoying the Spanish summer
July 13th, 2010… You would be enjoying the summer, too, if you just won the World Cup and you paint like San. A nice shot of a mural in progress.

Herbert Baglione work from Miajadas (Caceres), Spain
July 13th, 2010Herbert Baglione just got back from painting at San’s Insitu Festival in the small village of Miajadas, Spain. The festival had that all-star line-up feel to it, with Sam3, San, Herbert, Escif, and Honet, among others, all painting in the town. San took these photos of Herbert’s work. Very good stuff.
