Our friend, Alex Tarrant, was talking about Evan Roth last night, and then we clicked on over to Evan Roth’s site, which confirmed he was a badass motherfucker (literally, Google that, see what comes up). He did that amazing Jay-Z “Brooklyn Go Hard” video a few years back. Anyway, he just posted a Graffiti Analysis v3.0 trailer the other day, and we wanted to share it with you.

Look, Inception is not going to change your life, but it is the best blockbuster film to come out this summer, and its proves that Christopher Nolan can make an original, fun script that isn’t a fucking retread or rebrand like every other movie that comes out in the summertime. The Citrus Report went and saw the movie, and we give it TWO THUMBS UP, based solely on the fun factor. And if someone wants to get all deep with you after seeing it, don’t trust them. It isn’t that hard to figure out what is going on in the film. It ain’t that philosophical or mindblowing, just a good script, good story, a different story, so don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Just enjoy it.

Easily one of the best pop songs of the year and one of our favorite tracks of 2010, Gorillaz‘ “On Melancholy Hill” has a video trailer out. With the amazing videos that have come out for Damon Albarn’s Gorillaz Plastic Beach project, this is another great bit of animation and video.

Last fall, the London Guardian got an exclusive editorial written by Oliver Stone about his film that debuted at the Venice Film Festival, South of the Border. The topic: Hugo Chavez. The point: to show the deliberate misrepresentation of the Venezuelan leader by American leaders and media. The film looks really interesting, if not game-changing, and we really want to see it.
You know, this got released while Dave & I were on the road being nomads, so I apologize for being late on this, but check it out if you haven’t already seen this. My good homies in Linkin Park did something that no other band has done right yet, but they got it right. The created a full-on, from the ground up, original game for iPhone / iPad / iPod Touch called “8 Bit Rebellion.” It’s a RPG / Massively Multiplayer game inspired by some of their favorite old school, 8 Bit Nintendo games. And just knowing the dudes and knowing that they are all genuinely influenced by this culture and do LOVE this stuff, it’s cool to see that they were able to pull this off to this degree. Congrats, my friends.
