Established in 1867, this no frills landmark first began as an oyster and seafood outpost in downtown’s fish mongering street market, at the base of California Street. To this day, it has become customary for San Franciscans to walk into Sam’s, grab a dice cup from the bartender, sit at one of their famous curtained booths, and play liar’s dice while waiting for your food to arrive. Remember, loser picks up the tab.
If you want a taste of what this city was once like, go see Sam.
This limited edition Liar’s Dice Cup is made from selected oak-tanned and stitched genuine leather and comes with five black dice and velveteen pouch. Only 50 dice cups made.
