Los Angeles based Morgan Schweitzer splits his time between editorial illustrations and motion work that includes character design, concept design, asset creation and storyboard art. A rearing horse caught mid-tilt and a fleeing man about to land a step are both examples of ways Morgan manages to add tension and movement.
His sketches are generally very loose and gestural at first. He tries to incorporate some of those gestural qualities to help guide the finished illustration and to exaggerate aspects of the figure that help convey movement.
